Jaime's Progress

Jaime has reached several milestones since our last post. His feeding tube has been removed and he is now eating on his own. He is eating very small portions of soft food along with a dietary supplement through an IV. He has stood a few times with the assistance of a physical therapist. His lack of strength does not allow him to do so on his own power yet. The doctors have prescribed for him to go outside occasionally. He was able to do this and enjoy the fresh air for a while for the first time since December 24th. Sitting is very uncomfortable for him so this is a short but wonderful experience for him. Jaime is experiencing a tremendous amount of pain and anxiety associated with this improvement. Please pray that God will ease his anxiety and pain he is experiencing.

Jaime is fully alert and aware. Any posts, emails, or letters will be read by Jaime himself now. Feel free to send Jaime a note to let him know that we care about him and are praying for him. This will be very encouraging for him during his recovery. His addresses are posted above.

I hope you have a wonderful day today!! I will be praying for God to give you your strength back. God has brought you this far he can finish the process!!!

I saw a scripture the other day on a ladies desk at my work that read..." Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified, do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."

    Joshua 1:9

I typed it out and hung that up on my desk. Sometimes we just have to be reminded that he is there to see us through things that we go through. Keep your head up!!! God is still able!!

  10. Hey Jaime,
The lewis' and Roden's are thrilled at the progress we have heard about. I know you are having to draw strength from God now, and that this is not an easy road. God is truly the ONE that fully understands how your feeling and is gonna help you pull through.
We can't wait and are anxious to see your little man, as I know you, Natalie, and family are awaiting the delivery of yet another miracle to come.
We love you and know that we are praying for all of you and look forward to your return.

    Your Friend,

  11. What encouraging news...and it's totally understood what a long road you face. May God grant you the fortitude and strength He's granted you thus far.

Jaime - your determination is amazing - but don't try to rush the healing process! (Don't un-wad the rose bud!) Give yourself time! Forgive yourself when you don't meet your own expectations! The Lord's carried you thus far, and He'll carry you the rest of the way.

Natalie - you're awesome - what a woman! I'm sure at times this has been unbearable, and I know from your postings that you know a lot is ahead of y'all. A silver lining is that you both can soon sit together in wonder and amazement at the little miracle that God's soon to be giving you - a healthy baby boy!

The Moser family - keep your collective chins up! It's so good to hear great, fantastic, and encouraging reports in Jackson - evidencing God at work - keep 'em coming! Please know you have so very many rooting for y'all! You have exhibited awe inspiring strength through this time!

  13. Jaime, it is incredible how many aunts and uncles you have (including us in Tennessee). But, when you are loved in this world, "friends", "cousins", etc. just does not sound good enough. We are so excited that you have reached this stage of recovery. Just know that every day brings you closer to where you want to be. Don't think of any measure of time but that which brings you closer to home. You are special (so is Natalie). I had to explain to "Aunt Ann" why you were naming your son Tilman (sic). Now she gets it. Now, the trick is that he takes after your mother not that other JTM in the family, although he does have some good traits. Umm, let's try hard to think of some. We love you.

  14. Hi Jaime, Just want you to know that we have been praying and thinking of you and your family since we got the word of your accident. We check this blog several times a day to see if there is a new post of how you are doing. It's great to hear you are improving. You have much to look forward to with the birth of your son and being back home with your family. Hang in there and know there are people everywhere praying for you and thinking of you daily.
    Be encouraged!

  15. Jaime, my nephew - my hero - my friend

    Wed. Night/ 12:30
I was awakened by booming thunder, streaks of lightening and pelting rain. As usual the bed sheet was quickly pulled tight over my head
    ha! ha!

Jaime as the storm lingers I remember how you loved the rain, (good sleeping weather you would say.) As the rain is coming down, I pray that God gives you a peaceful rest even if you can not hear the rain. The time is now 2:45AM and the rain has subsided. My thoughts of you have kept me company during these early morning hours and you have unknowingly helped me through the storm. Of course this is being entered next day - scaredy cat was brave enough to write a note to you in pencil in the safety of her bed but was not up to using the computer - way too far from my cover- just in case ha ha!

Now begins the last lap of your Georgia Marathon. This lap will be by far the most difficult.

As the children's song goes, "I am a friend of God" Everthing is going to be alright because you are a friend of God and he loves you very much!

I could say I've missed you but MISSED doesn't describe the hole in my heart.

Jaime if Buck hasn't deleted your cell calls there will be a couple from me. Oops, still at it ha! ha! My excuse was... that your number was below Grant's, however when calling your Mom yesterday I wondered why she had not returned my call. Her number is below yours... and of course your number was the one entered. I just need to hear your voice Buddy Boy.

Jaime, your and Nat's picture is displayed on my desk at work. Ya'll are always in my thoughts. Nat take care of yourself and Little Till.

Love ya'll more than chocolate & tootsie pops! Aunt Bev

    Janice & Jimmy stay strong

    Love to All
