We have not updated the blog in recent days because there has been no significant changes in Jaime's overall condition. Which, as we all have learned, no news is good news! He is doing wonderful and his overall appearance is great. His oxygen has been reduced to only 27 percent(we breathe 21%). He has been steadily improving over the last few days. Jaime has been much more responsive than ever before. He is carrying on short conversions occasionally by mouthing his words(not audible because of trachea). The Moser family is wonderfully encouraged by this improvement and can see a light at the end of the tunnel.
Jaime's cultured skin that was grown for him will be arriving soon and doctors will be able to perform his final grafting surgeries. Please pray that Jaime will continue to improve and have no complications or infections.

This blog update has been like a breathe of fresh air. I figured things were still about the same, since no updates. So good to hear Jaime is more responsive. I know he still has a long road of recovery, but every small thing is a big step. We love you all so much!!Praying for your strength and Jaime's healing. Hope you all get a good nights rest. Nat, hope you are doing o.k...and takin care of "Baby Til". Which I'm sure Jana, Jules, & Aunt Janice are seeing to that.Love ya'll so much!!
ReplyDeleteI am sure Jaime will be healed soon! Especially for the arrival of their baby. Adjusting to a loved one who has suffered from burns is not easy. It truly is a roller coaster ride from the beginning until your loved one leaves the Burn Center. Always remain strong in your faith. Remember the poem, "Footprints In The Sand". God will carry you through these hard times and the sun will shine again! Please have confidence that every one at the Burn Center has compassion, concern, and committment to help Jaime make a full recovery from this unfortunate accident. Our hearts truly care for each and every patient we try to heal! Jaime, when you get to read this you have such a wonderful supportive family! Your wife is such a strong, loving, loyal, caring woman! Your new baby will be so lucky and blessed! You have a terrific friend, Dusty, who drove so many miles almost every weekend to see you and lift your spirits up with hope. When you have a great family support system, the healing comes from that strength. May God bless you and keep healing you!

I don't know why this happened to a person so young and full of life. I do know that it rains on the just and unjust. I also know Jaime has been an inspiration to many, especially the medical staff at the hospital. Our hearts hurt because of the pain that Jaime has had to endure. There is a purpose for this - lives will be changed, faith will be increased and God will receive glory for touching Jaime. When I was there, I talked to the doctors and nurses who realized that God's protective armour was around Jaime. They also know that Jaime is special. They have not been able to talk to Jaime, but they can feel his spirit. The support and love he receives from his family and friends also makes a difference.
ReplyDeleteJimmy, We have talked numerous times about how lucky we were to have such great kids. Jaime is special. He got your heart, which is as big as the world, and he got Janice's disposition, which is so sweet. Yet he is all man. I am sure Jaime is going to be okay. This experience will strengthen his and your relationships with the Lord. I can hardly wait to see Jaime at FPC praising the Lord for his miracle. There will be alot of lives that will never be the same and God will receive the Glory.
We are blessed to be your friends,
Bud and Wanda Watkins
Dear Uncle Bubba,
ReplyDeleteI am coming to visit you this weekend but they tell me that I cannot see you until you are in a regular room. I can't wait till you get in a regular room. Could you try to work on that this week? I love you Uncle Bubba.
Mimi, Poppa and Aunt Nat...I love you all and I really enjoyed my last visit with you and am really excited that I get to spend Valentines Day with you all.
