Jaime is doing well and is improving daily. He drank some water Tuesday for the first time since the accident on December 24th. In the past few days, he has progressed into drinking limited amounts of thick liquids(smoothies) and soft foods(mashed potatoes). This is a great improvement and very encouraging. He is completely off the ventilator and is only receiving oxygen through his trach. They are hoping to remove the trach in the near future. This is when he will be able to talk audibly with family and friends.
While Jaime is improving every day, he is still in great need of your prayers. He still has a risk of infection until the grafts heal. He is now facing a whole new set of challenges as he prepares to face this physical and emotional journey. As he improves, he becomes more aware of the pain and anxiety of the situation he is in. Please continue to pray.

To Each of You:
ReplyDeleteWe are joining with you in rejoicing over the many victory reports. With each sign of progression, He deserves all the praise.
When we feed our faith, our fears will starve.
We are praying for Jaime to be granted peace now and throughout the remainder of his healing process. Having God and the people of God on our side, we have all we need. We love each of you and are anticipating your arrival in Jackson.

Jaime, Just a note to let you know that you and Nat have a purpose. God is using you both (and Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Janice) for a purpose. But, you will have to decide by faith to trust His promise and wait for the results. That doesn't mean you will be exempt from problems. But, your suffering will not be wasted it will be used by God for His eternal purpose. Always remember you were never a mistake you are a materpiece that God is putting the finishing touches to so you will be complete. He is making you in to unique work of art that he has designed you to be. Only in eternity will you see and uderstand the COMPLETED picture created by God working in your life. Most of all, never forget, God loves you both very much and so do we. Are prayers and love are with you all. You all are so precious to him and to us. Love, Tee.

Hello Friends,
ReplyDeleteJanice, I hope you got some rest. You sounded so tired yesterday. Those are the times I wish I could just be there. Wishing you a good restful day today. I love you so much.
I wanted to share my "March 2" reading for the day. I didn't come up with this...ha!
Whatever dark tunnel we may be called upon to travel through, God has been there. Whatever deep waters seem about to drown us, He has traversed. Faith is not merely "feeling good about God" but a conscious choice, even in the utter absence of feelings or external encouragements, to obey His Word when He says "Trust Me".
Psalm 46:1-2 - "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea."
The journey home is now shorter - stay strong, don't become too weary but in those moments know that all of you are being lifted up in prayer to our Father.
Love you all.
Barbara
I know your bodies are weary from the emotional/physical stress that you've experienced these past few months but be encouraged in your spirit, LOOK WHAT GOD HAS DONE!! You are not alone, God is with you and he will carry you and help you through the months to come. We serve an AWESOME GOD! I am so thankful about what God has already done for Jaime and what he is going to do in the future. I love you all very much!
