First Skin Graft - Eleventh Surgery

Jaime had his first skin graft surgery on Wednesday. They grafted skin from his thighs and placed it on the top of his hands and arms. According to the Surgeon, the grafts looked great. This was the first of several surgeries in order to complete the grafts. The Doctors have informed us that they will let Jaime rest for about ten days. This gives time for the skin on his thighs to heal so that they can graft from the same areas. Future grafts will come from his thighs as well as cultured skin grown from his own cells.

Jaime's lungs look great and are very healthy. His temperature remains good with only slight increases. Please continue to pray for no infection and for the grafts to have no complications.

  1. We are still praying for Jaime and the rest of the family! Dave and I have a checkup with Dr. Hassan on Tuesday so hopefully we will get a chance to say hello to you all.

  2. Hi. You may not know me, but I just wanted to let you know that we are praying for you. My husband, Lane Parker, is from the Jackson church, so we heard about Jamie thru the grapevine, so to speak... God's working His miracles for your family....In Jesus Name...
